Hi I'm Alastair. I live in the UK and found this forum quite by accident. I have been making boats for three years and as a North Sea Ferries fan most of them are models of these ships. I have inserted a link, Hope it works. ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting

I once read in the Libelle (women's magazine) that reading Dutch is quite doable for English speakers. And since this forum is all context restricted techno-geek-speak of the worst kind ...

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am still using the translator but there are many similarities between our written languages and am learning new Dutch words all the time. I have travelled to Holland many times on the ferry shown above and I have many Happy memories. I hope to visit again soon.

Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to make that date as I will be sailing to Belgium on 7 May for the Pride of York's 25th anniversary and two trips so close to each other is impossible.
However I may be able to visit later in the year. Is there a list of events taking place? If it's not too far I could work something out.

Of anders een paar minuutjes minder op dit forum, en dan zoeken naar "Google Translator" of een soortgelijk vertalingsprogramma. Werkt niet perfect, maar je zal wel een idee krijgen waar het over gaat. Understood?
