moest ik ne hoed ophebben, ik had hem afgenomen!

als elk DLGtoestel er zo uit zou zien, dan zou iedereen DLGen! :p

ps, wat dacht je van een oranje gestreepte romp, en staartvlakjes in dezelfde stijl als de vleugel? ;)
zou dat geen mooie reclame stunt zijn voor je xxlite?
 
de vleugel is genoeg denk ik , staartdelen wil ik zowiezo licht houden=

de spuitmallen zijn , dus bestellen maar zou ik zeggen...

helaas, ik verwacht een super ava pro 4flaps (korter kon de naam niet)
budget voor de komende 2j is op ;)

en zolang ik nog 3 dlg's vliegende heb, zal er gene nieuwe komen!

Van harte gefeliciteerd met deze prachtige ultralight overwinning Bas !
Ik sta "gewoon" even sprakeloos (wees gerust dat duurt nooit lang...)
Ik hoor dat Henrik Vogler inmiddels ook nieuwe stadschoenen
besteld heeft (plus de nieuwe Salpeter met superslanke vleugel en nieuw profieltje...)
Dit wordt beslist spannend in Mücke :help:

Zwaartepuntsligging.

Afgelopen tijd gaan er veel postings rond dat een zwaartepuntsligging van 50 tot 55 mm beter zou zijn dan 57 mm.
Vanavond zelf maar eens een test gedaan op 53 mm en mijn eerste indrukken zijn ERG positief.
De kist voelt een stuk rustiger aan en draait ook beter (minder verschil in zaksnelheid tussen rechtdoor vliegen en draaien). Ook de glijeigenschappen lijken te verbeteren.
Het wordt de komende avonden een flink karwei om alle kroonsteentjes van mijn ballast te verplaatsen

hi,

naar voorbeeld van de helios heb ik een stukje gemaakt dat op de staartbuis van de xxlite past om zo het monteren van kielvlak te vergemakkelijken , een stukje van de romp word ingekort (0.3gram) en het nieuwe stukje (0.6gr) word erover geschoven en zorgt dus slechts voor een geringe gewichtstoename

het kan voor zowel links als rechtshandige gebruikt worden

Hi Theo, i read your lines. 45 meters and 120 up to 150s? this is a really good glidingtime. Unbelieveable! In chamblay i hit the xxlite from mike, on my first try, over 58 meters. I never know what is xxlite and i'd didn't had contact before. Im surprised about this modell how easy leave my hands. Can anybody tell me a compare with AR12/xxlite? In rc-network i read from the AR12. Is it possible that both aerplanes have the same airfoil?

Misschien moet je het lezen als 2 aparte zinnen (die dus geen verband met elkaar hebben).
Het model gooit hoog (misschien wel hoger dan 45 meter) en vanaf 45 meter hoogte gemeten is er nog een dead air tijd van ..............:D

Below some comparison between the AR 12 and the XXlite:

Aspect ratio:
AR 12: 12 (I guess :-))
XXlite: 13.1.

Root chord:
AR 12: 14.5 cm.
XXlite: 13.5 cm.

Airfoils:

AR 12: Zone V2 50 (root) thru Zone V2 20 (tip).
XXlite: Zone V2 43 (root) thru Zone V2 20 (tip).

The numbers 50, 43 and 20 in the airfoil names indicates the Reynold number range it is desingned for, the bigger the chord or wing loading the higher the number.

yes the aspect ratio of the XXlite is very high but according to the current standards also the aspect ratio of the AR 12 is high ("normal" models have an aspect ratio of about 10.2). Lots of discussions are going on about the advantages and disadvantages of high AR planes. It is clear that the XXlite wil have influence on future designs.
