Although is far from perfect I believe it is a decent first try. Thank you guys for the guidance and suggestions!!

Well, the cowl is almost finished. Overall, I am quite happy with the result.

Of course there are some imperfections such us some yellow spots on the black cockpit glass. I am planning to spray some black paint in a bowl and paint them carefully with a paint brush.
The same technique I m gonna follow for the line between the colors as Dirk Jan did in his T800 hull.

Wow, looks great Dim! Neat work on the paint job.

I did some corrections as you described: paint some spray paint in the cap of the can and with a brush, correct some spots. It is only visible from closeby:

Thank you Jan!! Great, so the method has been tested!! ;)
I think that is almost impossible to build or paint something by hand with no imperfections, but at the same time this is the beauty of rc building: trying to figure out how you can make your build better and better.

I don t know if you buy from tfl-hobby.de (you probably do) but the owner of the business says that he is gonna be hospitalized for two weeks with unknown time of recovery (!!! so sorry for him) and he will no deliver products after 21/10/2021.
    upload_2021-10-16_7-52-8.png

So if you have planned some purchases from tfl-habby.de, you would better order until 21/10.
I ordered the metal-teflon bearings for the end of the flex shaft, as the experienced users of the TFL small outboard suggested, and two spare flex shafts just in case.

Great work Dim, it's like I'm looking at my own hull. The first run now comes close.

Cowl weight is very good. Lighter than my first cowl.

1 tip: I would place the lipo on te left and the esc on the right. Due to the prop torque, the hull has the tendency to rotate clockwise. Placing the lipo on the left side will counter that.

The Losi looks great. I'm an rc car enthousiast as well

Thank you very much Jan!!!! I am a good student but I also have the best teacher;)You are right about the lipo I should consider changing it.
The weight is very good but I expected something below 100. To be honest I was amazed by the fact that the paint is approximately 10% of its total weight (94 gr unpainted).
I can't wait for the first run, but first I want to enjoy painting the hull.
This losi is a great car. So easy to handle even if it is 2wd.

The servo is taller than a standard one and the servo horns exceeded the upper deck. So I added a balsa stripe to gain height.

    IMG_20211030_100454.jpg

I tried a cutter to cut the cover of 1mm plywood. The result was not bad.

After some sanding the Cozy is finally closed...

Nice work Dim! Only at the front, you might need to sand the height extension of the box a little, to avoid conflict with the cowl. Or does the cowl fit without issues?

    Laminating...
I use 20 gr/m2 glass fiber and the front part of the upper deck and the cover.
For small laminating areas I make my own paint brushes from old sponges.

Nice work. That glass is very thin, be careful with sanding.
For laminating I use a roller as well, very convenient to evenly spread the epoxy.
