That is the downside of free software. It might be possible in Fusion, however it could be a feature you have to pay forThank you unusual! I add dimensions on the plans and fortunately they are 100% accurate!
To be honest I prefer cutting the templates by myself.
Unfortunately it is not possible to flatten a surface in Fusion 360. It would be very useful for skinning.
This is very Interesting Jan. I thought that having the flattened surfaces would be a huge benefit to speed up the process and improve accuracy but I was wrong. Good to know, thank you.Having the ribs printed 1:1 is already a huge plus.
Flatten the surfaces for making the plating contours is in my opinion not a huge added benefit. I never used it, although I know the feature. By hand building, you will always find some imperfections. Using paper and cardboard for making templates of the plating works maybe even better in that case.
