1:6 mono waterski

the variable ski is in the picture she is up within a short distance but leaning left, more tuning required, I have tied a knot in both lines again this has the effect of shortening the blue tow line more than the ski pulling line because it's thicker. From the angle she is at the variable rod hasn't deployed at this point which is good, but the blue line which she holds is slack, bad.

So the stainless steel foil did work, but maybe not as reliable as aluminium. The main thing was when I put her in the lake she sank a bit deeper due to the extra weight, this spoilt the good starting position I had achieved with my ski. So need to try again to get the dural (strong ally)
Looking at the film the tow line she holds is whipping about , I may try swapping it for the same fishing line used for pulling the ski.

Another try , having no luck getting the aluminium, it's now called 6082 not dural , so at least I'm on the right track. Someone at the club said why don't you 3d print the foil, so I've given it a go. Whilst at it I made the blades adjustable with two screws seen in the horizontal section. Weight wise not saved much, but I could save some more by altering the printed blades.

So it worked, did some filming. However it still bends at the join, I didn't think it possible to print a complete blade, but I've had a practice and it is possible. All guess work on the angles , but I may try and draw it for real this was a practice drawing.. I think Lex said if it is wider then it will work at lower speed. We have a speed limit near the jetty for the yachts. It's quite relaxing pulling the skier at slow speed as I found out today. Some dimentions from Lex would be helpful
