Het zit er weer op, inderdaad. Het was wel even wennen hoor, indoor competitie vliegen na zo lang buiten te hebben gevlogen, en dan nog weer andere programma's en onbekende programma's. Het staat inmiddels vast dat de onbekende programma's "the way to go" zijn om goed verschil te kunnen zien tussen de toppers. Zelf heb ik niet erg sterk gevlogen, het was duidelijk nog te vroeg in het seizoen voor mij. Het is echter wel DE manier om wakker geschud te worden en weer indoor te gaan trainen. Wat materiaal betreft weinig nieuws behalve de nieuwe Extra van Martin Müller. Ik heb zelf ook maar zo'n kitje gescoord om in ieder geval niet voor het 5e achtereen volgende jaar met de zelfde Yak 54 aan te moeten treden. Ik denk dat Jeroen nooit gedacht heeft dat hij zo lang tegen hetzelfde model aan moest kijken, toen hij hem spoot. A propos Jeroen heeft zich goed gemanifesteerd als internationaal jurylid wat geen gemakkelijke taak was gezien de onbekende programma's.

looking at the model data, the majority of pilots used ESCs from YGE or CC. Unfortunately the YGE-4 is no longer available, which leaves only the rather expensive CC Phoenix 10.

For pilots running Strecker motors and WES props, I noticed that you used a cheap Turnigy 6A ESC. How do you like it?

The Turnigy 06 controller works perfect with my Strecker motor. In fact it works better than my Yge 4, wich suffered from inexplanable cut outs every 2-3 flights. Seeing that many pilots used the Yge 4 with good results, it must mean that mine has a fault.

It would seem that the Chinese have improved on their line of cheap motors and controllers allowing Derk to retain his F3A title by using a 28 Euro Turnigy motor and a 38 Euro Turnigy controller!

Obviously the pilot is more important than the manufacturer of the drive system. ;)
