Alweer een nieuwe 700 klasse heli van SAB in samenwerking met Goblin. Goblin 700-class helicopter - HeliPlane – RC Helicopter & Plane news We brought you first information SAB’s upcoming 700-class electric helicopter before and now the company got in touch with more details. Making use of 700mm flybarless main blades the heli has a main rotor diameter of 1580mm with the rotor head featuring a 12mm main shaft. The carbon fibre chassis and aluminium motor holder are designed for brushless outrunner motors with a diameter of up to 62mm such as the Scorpion 4035. The tail boom heavily differs from other helicopters of this class as it is not constructed from a simple tube but a special tunnel that incorporates both the tail boom mount and support as well as the tail servo making it rigid, light and aerodynamic at the same time. The 12S LiPo battery sits at an angle in the chassis with the usually light controller underneath it for an optimised centre of gravity. Judging from the two videos you can see below SAB is also working on a smaller 600-size heli.
