Non brand DLG (begginer questions)

Hello,
Recently I bought a non brand DLG for my own training. Before it i had a used Blaster 2 which i destroyed...

In this DLG (can't come up with a name yet) I will be using dymond d47 servos (3) the rudder will stay fixed. I bought a turnigy x9 and a frsky module for it to avoid bad signal or lycense. also i will be useing a 360 mAh 2cell lipo.
I want to bring it to the Netherlands and gain more experience, but the main problem is I do not understand Dutch at all... So i wonder is it possible for non Dutch to join some meetings or clubs? Also is there some kind of rules that i should know before lounching my DLG in the netherlands?

Hello Savas,
For sure around Enschede there will be a lot of meetings and clubs where english spoken members reside. I'ld suggest to google a bit with keywords such as "Modelvliegclub Enschede", "MVC Enschede" and contact the contributors by mail e.g. Maybe it'll be convenient to contact Ron van Sommeren (member MBF), he might have a few shortlists of clubs around.
(I hope you won't mind my mentioning your name, Ron.)

Hi,
Thank you for your reply, i will try and do that :) how can i contact Ron van Sommeren?

another question, I want to make my elevator dissmountable for transporting issues, can someone sugest me how to do it?

P.S. I don't mind using my nickname, my real name is Ignas :)

Ey ignas,

I've got a friend living in enschede and he is flying in eibergen.

It's 30 minutes driving by car so maybe they can help you :-)

It's not a big Issue that you can't speak Dutch almost all guys out here speak English and rc flyers I guess even more and better!

There are rules for rc planes but there are really long complicated discussions over it my rule is (what I tell to cops) when your plane is heavier than 500gr you should fly at a club and next I show them my knvvl flying license and club card and they all agree.... But always keep it safe so don't start throwing without expirience of rcflying and knvvl license and of course only at an big field without people cars houses etc close. I am shure they can tell you more at the club about this subject in a very short time

But it is a nice looking dlg glider so strange that it haven't got a name or brand.... Maybe a home build plane

Cheers :-)

Robert

Thank you Robert!

Yea the glider is home made, the boom was made by some Polish guy, the fuselage and the wings were made by a Lithuanian. costed me around 106e (only the plane) so i think is is a good price. The plane is made from carbor and kevlar mostly i am assembling it now. I will post more photos if i manage to finish it today :)

Cheers, Ignas

One question, do you already have experience about rc flying or are you a total newbee?
It's not recommendable to start flying with a breakable dlg glider when you're new ;-)

When it is your first plane I guess we all recommend the mini dlg from frans bal, mail him and you get the plans4free

i am not a begginer at all. i am a begginer at DLG sport. my previous DLG as i mentioned in my first post was a Blaster 2;)

my new DLG with my old built RF-4

i mounted the servos and found the balance point (the tail is quite heavy)

Also i made a dismountable elevator

is the stabiliser now horizontal? it looked like it wasn't before you made the balsa pylon...

i think you're always welcome to fly in the netherlands. :)

.hello, the noName flies quite good I must say.. but the weight is 316~ the tail is really heavy and I had to put a lot kf balast in front to aquire the normal balance point... I still think it should be more to front. now it is about 40% of the wing.
the plane is packed and awaiting its shipment to the Netherlands, hope everything will be okay...

Ignas

i think 40% is ok, as long as the elevator is leveled(neutral, not trimmed up or down) it has to be ok.
316gr is nog very heavy... quite nice to fly when you go to NL, there's always wind.

Hello, i am still waiting for my plane. Today i got the FrSky module, tested on my broken car, works pretty well, i wanted to ask if someone is going to fly tommorow or on sunday near enschede and i could join to help somehow? I want to watch and ask for some tips ant things about the whole DLG thing

I am looking at the sites, videos and all the infomation i can find, but still, the real thing is different, i think seeing everything by myself would be better :)

Hello savas ,me and a friend are going to fly tommorow at 'oude buursedijk' in Enschede.
We are flying the helios xxlite and stobel v3.(many thanks to loet and steven for these plains)
Altough we are not yet pro's and only flying for a few months now you can stop by if you want.
