Outdoor FunFly in Utrecht this sunday (Feb 26) ??

Hi All,

According to wind and weather forecast ( http://www.windfinder.com/forecast/utrecht ) it looks like this sunday is going to be PERFECT weather for flying especially smaller electric models. Because of this i was thinking to organize an informal and impromptu heli meet in Utrecht at a sportpark outdoors (Sportpark Zuilenselaan - http://www.utrecht.nl/smartsite.dws?id=11245&mw=923&w=18&p=660;671&parFrom=660&infFrom=671).

Would any of you be interested in coming to something like this? The cost would be 40 euros to rent 1 full voetbal field for 2 hours or 80 euros for 4 hours. I was thinking to do 4 hours from 12.00-16.00. If 10 people were to come it would only be 8 Euros for 4 hours of flying fun and chatting with other flyers.

Anyone think this would be fun? Anyone willing to commit to being here on sunday ?
 
Owhjah! ik ben er zeker! Eindelijk is er ergens in de buurt waar iets word georganiseert. Organiseerde jij ook niet as zondag ook indoorvliegen in het galgewaard stadion...?? Want ik was van plan om daar heen te gaan. Gaat die niet door en word er dan op het voetbalveld gevlogen...??
 
Yeah exactly....I have been organizing the indoor flying at galgenward but I only arranged for 4 dates and they are done now. We arent doing anymore indoor flying though because the weather is getting nicer and we will be able to fly outdoors once again. The galgenward dates were alot of fun. about 15 flyers were there each week. There is some video of all 4 dates here: http://www.flyingcam.nl/

So anyway...yes indoor flying at the sporthal is done with and now i think it would be nice to plan flying dates outdoors as the weather permits. Its much nicer to fly when you have more space in my opinion :)

If i can get at least 10 people who will commit to coming this sunday I will organize this funfly for this week. In order to be sure we get the field im going to have to know before the end of the work day tomorrow so TELL ALL YOUR FLYING FRIENDS about this. If we have 10 people who want to come by tomorrow then i will arrrange the rest.

Sooo.... Noone is interested? Je mag ook nederlands praten in deze thread... Ik kan het niet zo goed praten/typen maar ik begrijp je wel als u in nederlands wilt typen.
 
its a very good idea i think, more then all the meetings far away from my home :lol:
the thing is, i already have planned a meeting on that date, i think you get more results if you plan more forward. like 2 or 3 weeks from this date. people can plan, and reckon with a meeting on that day.
i hope you get what i mean.

Anyway....

I agree with planning it more in advance but the problem with that is the weather since this is outdoors. You cant get a very good idea of the weather more than 5-6 days in advance and so this is why i decided that there must be at least 10 people who would be available to fly on a short notice. Apparently i'm wrong :)

Ahwell.... was a nice thought. I dont think im going to get 9 more people to agree to come between now and tomorrow. I could be wrong but i doubt it.

I guess im flying alone on sunday! :)

bel me ff op zondag morgen ofzo en als je wil, kunnen we samen gaan vliegen. Duccan, je mag ook komen maar dan zoeken we onze eigen plekje in utrecht. Ik weet 2 of drie velden waar we kunnen vliegen. Stuur een PB of emailtje voor details.
