Hi guys! I found some spare time and I started designing a new stepped monohull that is based on the P1 Superstock category shown below: This is an 8 meter mono hull with 2 steps (named Panther) and a 300 hp 4-stroke Mercury capable of 80 mph. In competition all participants use identical motors and hulls, thus the superstock name. For more background information visit: https://p1superstock.com/boatspecs. Now, the model is an approx. 1/10 semiscale replica of the P1 Superstock Panther boat and has the following characteristics : Total length: 80 cm Length without the notch (from the bow to the end of the last step): 73 cm Beam : 22cm Deadrise angle: 18.4 degrees Type of motor: My homemade Mercury - type outboard with SSS 2960 2200 kv motor Battery: 4s 4500 mah lipo ESC: 120 A marine Estimated total weight: < 2,500 gr Estimated top speed: > 65 km\h (hopefully). Below I share with you my first set of plans: Note that TFL has a similar RTR model (TFL P1 Superstock Warrior with the TFL geared outboard). I am expecting that the progress of the project will be slow, but if I have any updates I ll let you know. To be continued...
You are unstoppable Dim, it seems you like building boats Nice project and I will follow this one again!
Haha this is true Jan!! This time I ll put more effort on preparing more detailed plans since I have other models to play with!!
