The weather finally looks normal again. The effect of the COP 15 Climate
Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009 has ceased, and the global warming
is back on track.
The spring has reached Denmark and the temperature has already reached 20° a
couple of times. The field in Brønderslev looks nice and green - ready for
Smackdown 2011
We are going into the final planning stages of The Pitchbrothers Smackdown
2011 and here are some news for you all:
We are at the moment 120+ pilots and guests at the event site during the
entire weekend. There will be pilots and guests from Norway, Germany,
Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Czech Republic, Poland, Holland,
Lithuania, France, UK, USA and Denmark.
We have sold quite a few VIP tickets with accommodation included - this is
the perfect way to enjoy the event comfortable if you don't have a camper.
This year you get your raffle ticket with your starting fee. We have raffle
items from: HEAD-RC, Hyperion, Fast-lad Performance, ElyQ, Kasama, Scorpion, Spin Blades,
Torsion Blades, Edge, Volz, Compass, Mikado, Rotor Magazine, Skyline Models and
more.
Brønderslev MFK will setup the extended version of the SMACKbar with
burgers, sausages, ice cream, slush-ice, beer, soft drinks, meatballs, blue,
red and green Locktite + more.
We will have HEAD-RC, Hyperion, ElyQ, O'Donnell, Torsion Blades and Electric
Flight Equipment setting up boots at the event.
Fuel station with 40 gallons of free O'Donnell fuel. Sponsored by HEAD-RC.
Hyperion charging café where you can see the latest chargers and goodies
from Hyperion, try a Hyperion Li-po and have your packs charged.
HEAD-RC will display and demo the latest products from ElyQ, O'Donnell and
Spinblades.
Torsion Blades will display and demo their new line of blades.
Our big tent on 12x21m will be divided after dinner, with extra heat in one
end and Indoor Smack Zone in the other half. Remember your mCPx
We will have some funny competitions: A hardcore tailslide competition - we
will also try to find the Ultimate Pitchbrother, so make sure you bring
some parts and some old heli's
The Beer pong competition is also back
The event will be covered by Rotor, Crazy Tom and AllMyRC.com.
Will we see the Align 250 Nitro in the air?
Will the youngest Pitchbrother be able to bog his flybarless 50 to a
headspeed less than 1000rpm, and introduce the term BBB to heli-flying?
400 Watts floodlights at the 2 centre flight stations from 20:30PM to ?
Night-flying demo's without floodlights.
