Na wat EMail verkeer met plettenberg ben ik er achter dat de as fixed is. Voor de andere montagewijze gebruiken ze een nieuwe as met plaat aangezien deze een vaste verbinding met elkaar hebben.

Hi Pascal,
Thanks.
So if the shaft is fixed to the plate then my best option is as you suggested, cut the shaft to a minimal length and then see how it goes.
If it is still not to my liking I have to by a new shaft with plate.
Regards,
Hans

Hi Pascal,
From the instruction I do understand that I need a new shaft with front plate because they are fixed together and can not be separated from each other.
Regards,
Hans

Hi Pascal,
Thanks for your answer.
Is it possible for me to change the engine back to the original configuration myself.
(with the shaft exiting from the mounting plate)
Regards,
Hans

Dear Hans Meij,
you can use the motor with the shaft on the back-side!
Please cut the shaft so short you can, than you have no
problems.Don't use the motor with the long shaft
you send us a picture.
best regards

Betreff: Mounting the Orbit 20/14
Hi team Plettenberg,
On the Dortmund fair I bought a Orbit 20/14 and a Schulze controller at your stand for a Seduction Freestyle 135*135 cm aerobatic plane of 2kg weight
Because the cowl is quite narrow I asked if it was possible to mount it reversely. That would cause no problems was said and you did some rebuilt of the engine.
On the two pictures you can see how it is mounted now.
Due to the long lenth of the shaft the whole setup can bent quite a lot when force is applied to the propeller. Allthough I balanced the prop and spinner it will still shake to much when turning full power. A kind of a resonation that will destroy the engine when would be prolonged.
What is your advise to do?
Do better balancing
Built the engine back to the original setup with the shaft exit at the mountingplate so the weight of spinner and prop versus the engine are on both sides of the bearing
(Can I do tha myself and how, I dot see a way to dismantle the engine)
Keep this setup but shorten the shaft.
(Can the shaft be shifted back a bit or do I have to cut it?)
Thanks for your help,
Regards,
Hans Meij
