A Yak 55 participating in the Aero GP event in Marsamxett collides with an Extra 200, and the Yak crashes into the sea near the entrance to the harbor in Valletta, Malta. Swedish pilot Gabor Vargas was killed, while Irish pilot Eddie Goggins was uninjured.
