Dear All

I am pleased to announce that we will be holding

a Salute to the 445th BG model aircraft Commemorative Event,
which will be an any Scale/Warbird/Jet meet at Tibenham Airfield on Friday the 13th of July 2018.
Scale Aerobatic will also be welcome, scale foamies are also welcome.

Three (smooth) tarmac runways in various directions.

I am hoping Dutch scale legend Jan Hermkens and his team
will attend this event for the third time. Jan's magnificent Invader
was featured in a recent issue of the RCM&E magazine.

You can see it here, http://janhermkens.nl/

The event starts at 10am and finishes at 6.45pm
It is electric only after that if people still want to fly.
The Tibenham Ball takes place in the club house after that.
The Ball is just a drink and something to eat and banter.

People normally arrive 8am onwards and the club house
which serves hot and cold food and drink all day from
9am onwards.

I have just arrived back from Tibenham and one modeller
has arrived already. Richard G. has come along with a very
nice Jerry Bates Tempest II with a vee twin laser. plus also
he has our very own John Ranson designed JU88 again
powered with laser 100's.

My Brother did not feel very well to day, so I could not take the
Lanc. So I took the EE Lightning instead while I was putting it
together it fell off the table and stand and damaged the wing,
canopy and fin. So that will not fly tomorrow and neither will
the Lanc as I can't get it all in. Oh dear.

The weather forecast looks very good indeed with a high of 23 degrees
and a gentle breeze down the runway. You beauty.

Tricky Dickie S. as expected is unable to attend.
It seems like we may have at least 3 new people attending
tomorrow which is good.

If anyone is thinking of coming along but think their models
are not big enough or anything like that, please come along
this is a very informal event where everyone is made to feel welcome.

There are no egos (apart from mine

) at my events.

Foamies, aerobatic anything is welcome as long as it
looks scale (ish)
