Iemand nog interese in een 50kg Brushless met 350Pk?

Press - Siemens Global Website

Siemens researchers have developed a new type of electric motor that, with a weight of just 50 kilograms, delivers a continuous output of about 260 kilowatts – five times more than comparable drive systems. The motor has been specially designed for use in aircraft. Thanks to its record-setting power-to-weight ratio, larger aircraft with takeoff weights of up to two tons will now be able to use electric drives for the first time. To implement the world-record motor, Siemens' experts scrutinized all the components of previous motors and optimized them up to their technical limits. Feature

Vuistregel: onze brushless motoren kunnen ca. 3x hun gewicht in continue vermogen leveren.

50 gram = 150 W
50 kg = 150 kW

A new cooling concept has also helped to cut weight. “Because of the high current density, we needed a smart way of dealing with the waste heat,” Anton explains. “We use direct-cooled conductors and directly discharge the loss of copper to an electrically non-conductive cooling liquid – which in this case can be, for example, silicone oil or Galden.
