    Terrific information!
Back in the days (80-ties) I had to apply glue tot the rear of the transom.
It was written in the guideline of all my Robbe kits in ABS plastic.
A sharp transom really reduces drag.

    Next is blueprinting?

    Hi rc friends.
We just received the rudders for the mini wild things. Tilkiea says they are for 30 - 50 cm hulls but I think they are kind of small. What do you think?

It might be on the short side, but you can only find out after you've tried it . Worst case, you have to make a new rudder blade and a separate spray pickup (because the water inlet in the rudder blade might be difficult to make at home).

Indeed a bit short I guess ,but then maybe for right turns it might be enough.

A rudder creates a lot of drag.
On my 46cm Ecostar the rudder was similar in size.
At speed a rudder does not have to be large.

That said, when the model banks to the left side, this rudder can come out of the water?
The Ecostar rudder was under the hull in the middle of the keel (fully submerged propeller)
a totally different situation compared with an off-set rudder like this.

Thank you guys! I do agree, it is a shorty one. I am also not sure that it will work properly but we ll try it first. Fortunately it is quite cheap (5.75 euros)...

Are you going to make a v-shape to the bottom of the rudder?

@solex Thank you for your comment.
Probably yes, because I think that a flat rudder may cause extra unwanted buoyancy at the stern of the boat.
By the way the water inlet is fake and does not work.
I will probably replace the blade with DIY one.

A fake water inlet, pretending to be real with a water outlet at the top . That is not ok and I would contact the seller as it is misleading.
Anyway, it is an easy fix to use your own rudder blade.

How are you going to finish the hulls? When you run both together, 2 different colours are recommended

You are absolutely rightJan! I have already sent my complaints to the seller and I also gave a very "nice" review with 1 star evaluation.
As you said a 2mm larger CF plate and a separate pick up is the "easiest solution"
The boys have already chosen their colors! Green and red with white bottoms!

Haha that's right ... a dummy water pickup. There is no hole between the inlet and the outlet!o_O What were they thinking:hammer:???
Usually this seller has good products. I am waiting for his reply...

By the way below you ll find the first part of the construction video.
Editing and text in English by my oldest son (also his idea to film in fast forward the whole process)

Motor mounts are ready... A combination of CF and plywood like Jan's wild thing.
Our mini servos and escs have also arrived.

The seller responded that it is the glue that stops the flow between inlet and outlet...
I just drilled with a 2mm drilling bit and everything is OK now.

Nonetheless I am still thinking of an extra pick up for cooling down the Esc.

    Hi rc friends!
It was time for the servo mount bracket!
We took advantage of the longitudinal parts of the hull and we made a simple, but strong servo bracket! IMG_20230204_105654.jpg

The additional bulkheads in the original design make the servo placement easy! It looks good
