En ook Traxxas Support heeft een mening...:
Ronald,
If you are only playing with the buggy, and using a 4s battery configuration, the 2650kv motor is the fastest. The 2200kv is very popular for racing on medium-size tracks, but has more torque and less top-end than the 2650kv. You cannot go wrong with either motor, but you may chew up tires faster with the 2200kv motor, due to the low-end torque. Since you are just playing around, I think you will get the most enjoyment out of the 2650kv.

Hello,
Can you please give me some advice on which motor to buy in combination with the Monster esc? On your site you’re promoting the 2650Kv as ideal set up for a 1/8 buggy, but on all kinds of boards (including the Dutch ones), a lot of people are recommending the 2200KV motor. I want to drive on 4s lipo’s (1s4 or 2s2 parallel). I only drive for fun (on/off road), no competition. What would you suggest for my set up? It must be really fast, but controllable.
Is it to be expected that the newest motor (1800Kv) will be for sale in a kit with the esc (soon)?
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards,
Ronald
