English topic: Hello from a new visitor

Hi,

I Recently relocated to Netherlands. I am an Heli Pilot and I am interested to find an Helicopters club - To fly My helis.

Is there anything arround Alkmaar area? (or in Noord Holand)?

Thank you,
Vassilis

What about the Pilot's License in Netherlands? Is there any good place where I can read about it?

Thank you for the extra info.

Some clubs require a license before you can fly there. It requires you to do some hovering figures.
But it is allowed to fly everywhere without a licence where you aren't any danger to your surroundings also taking into account that you can do a safe emergency landing

Just to prevent unfortunate encounters with our boys in blue, let me specify that a little bit better:

you can fly anywhere, where you
-have permission of the owner of the terrain
-cause no danger to yourself or any passers-by
-cause no disturbance to nature or people living close by
-are capable of landing safe at all times

And one other thing to remember: as soon as your activity resembles an "organized activity" (For model flying this comes down to flying at fixed times in fixed locations, with more than one pilot. Two out of three will allready classify as "organized activity") you need a permit from city hall, which is pretty hard to get.

In all respect it is better to just find a club and have fun.

Brgds, Bert
