Hi Wim,

Een specifieke naam voor die kist stond er op genoemd linkje niet bij.....
Maar we mogen verder hoop ik?

Peter

Tuurlijk, je antwoord was goed.
Nog even over die naam:
This picture is indeed of a real airplane called the Phillips Multiplane of 1907. Designed and built by Horatio Phillips of Britain, this aircraft was his third and final Multiplane featuring literally 200 separate wings! Amazingly, the 1907 Multiplane did manage to become airborne briefly and completed the first successful flight by a powered heavier-than-air aircraft in the United Kingdom. Otherwise, Phillips is much better known for his contributions to the field of airfoil design where his developments were critical to the successful evolution of flight.

Ikarus T-451M.

ikarus451am_illustration.jpg

In the early morning of 25th October 1952 pilot Capitan Tugomir Prebeg made a flight in very first Yugoslav jet plane Ikarus 451M. This flight together with Ikarus 451M opened the jet era in Yugoslav aviation. Ikarus 451M was an experimental, all metal construction aircraft designed by Major Dragoljub Beslin, built by Ikarus aircraft factory and powered by two Turbomeca Palace 056A turbojets.
Only one example was ever built and it was used for test flights until 1959.
Today this interesting aircraft rests in Yugoslav Air Force Museum’s collection Belgrade, Serbia . It is important to note that Ikarus factory had experience in aircraft production since early mid war period and was mostly known by its IK-2 and IK-3 fighters.

De ontwerper van dit vliegtuig moest er blijkbaar rekening mee houden, dat ook huisdieren zich prettig zouden voelen in dit vliegtuig. Het is dus een vliegend hondenhok geworden:

TECHNOAVIA SM92 FINIST

The Finist is a modern concept utility aircraft with the most common Russian components. Till now ten aircraft are flying as prototype and pre-production aircraft. Technoavia's goal the type certificate is not achieved yet, but the aircraft offers quite a lot.

The SM-92 "FINIST" is an all metal airplane with the M-14P-type, 360-hp air cooled reciprocating engine.
The airplane is provided with a three-blade variable pitch "Muehlbauer" propeller.

The airplane can be flown practically from any scarcely prepared fields with low sub-soil strength, this is ensured by a spring-type landing gear and tail wheel configuration. For winter flying the gear can be converted to skis. A version on floats is in planning.

Variants:

SM-91: military version
SM-92: civil version

Data:

Performance: engine power 360hp, range 1300km (702NM), endurance 7.5h
cruising speed (75%) 260km/h 140kt / (65%) 220km/h 119kt
take off roll 250m (820ft), landing speed 115km/h 62kt, landing roll 250m (820ft)

Weights: empty 1400kg (3080lb), MTOW 2350kg (5170lb), Min. crew 1 person + payload 600kg (1320lb) + fuel 380L (100gal)

The airplane’s flight and navigation equipment allows to operate the airplane by day and night under VFR or IFR conditions.
