-very soft start
-Software terug naar 1,021 (ipv 1.081 Beta)
Dank je voor het linkje Jock.
I would like your opinion on the following: My set up is logo 10 3D carbon frame with hacker C50-13L Phoenix 60. I am using one 4S4P first gen and have two 4S4P gen 2. My pinion is currently 13T but have in stock a 14T. Reading on runryder some pretend that it is better to run with the 14T, even saying that it will run cooler even though I am OK (below 140F all over). Now I know I will get more head speed but what are the plus and cons of putting the 14T. Less flight time? More heat? etc. What do you recommend?
Answer...It's OK to use the 13T if your still learning. But if your looking for a quicker response in your controllers you should go up to the 14T. The head speed with the 14 too will be very close to 2000 RPM. This is a good number. You really wont see that much lower run time and the temp might go up slightly -- but looks like you have room for that. If your running the Castle in the Hacker timing mode then your head speed is probably as fast as the 14T while running a 13t with the castle ESC. You need to change the Trimming in the Castle to Low or 0 to 15 Deg. (should be 0 to 2 deg. and 8 kHz) to get the Hacker to run slower and cooler. You might be able to run the 14 t with the new settings in the castle ESC. It would be best if you measured your head speed before you changed anything.

Also I have a question, On your web site, you say you would not recommend the Castle Phoenix 80 controller due to some problems.
Well, That is the controller that I already have, and at the time I don't have the money to upgrade. Can you tell me what kind of problems there are.
Answer...
You can still use it as long as you do not follow the instructions recommendations!
Here is what you need to do to make the Castle controllers work for Heli use.
Cut off Voltage: set the Cut-off Voltage to 2.7V per LiPo cell or less. (use the S parts of the cell count)
Electronic Timing advance: Set to "Low advance timing" (0 deg. - 15 deg.)
Soft Start: Set to "fast start"
Everything else set to default -- Option "Throttle type" use "Fixed" for Heli use.
Use a gear ratio that is 100 RPM lower in your head speed than you plan to use -- Timing is still to advanced for the Hacker motors and cause the head speed to turn faster than normal. The correct timing is 0 deg. to 2 deg. Also the kHz is to high too. It should be 8 kHz.
Use "Normal" mode throttle curves 0, 45, 95, 100, 100, 100 to take off and land from. You can also fly in this mode if you want. Do not lower the settings in the last four positions to lower your head speed. You need to change gearing to lower the head speed. By lowering this setting is what is causing the controllers to fail. Again -- lower the head speed by changing the gearing only.
