Yesterday I received a new kit for a Funcub.. And (after helping someone else with some plane building) started the build
So... Another build-thread as well.. IF these kind of threads are Not apreciated over here, I'd be glad to know...
I'm not sure about the colorshcheme I'm gonna use yet.. Other than it isn't going to be the stock one..
First step: selection of servo's:
- Elevator: Hitec HS 85 MG
- Rudder: Hitec HS 85 MG
- Ailerons: Hitec HS 65 MG (2x)
- Flaps: HK922 MG digitaal (2x)
* I'll ad the motor-setup later
After that, I glued in the rudder- and elevator-servo's.. I used simple hobby-glue sinds the servo's were a snug fit.. With this glue I can re-use the servo's when this plane has met it's maker
Motor-mounts fitted.. Cabine-latch fasteners fitted (those black things):
Rudder- and elevator control-rods installed:
Ehm. and well.. I could not resist allready painting the rudder and elevator a bit:
That should turn out looking like this tail:
Time to glue the two fuselage-parts together! It is starting to look like Something
Put some color on the nose, and was pleasantly surpriced by the supplied decals
The window-decals are actually semi transparant.. If I would first paint the fuse blue.. I would have blue-shaded windows
Attached the tail-surfaces, and tail-wheel strut:
Installed the motor, and painted the motor-mount red
Installed the landing gear & wheels.. The landing gear is just a metal rod, but I put 2 layers of schrik-tube on it
After that I glued in all control-horns and fitted the aileron servo's..
After this not to much color will be added, but painted the wing-tips red as well:
