Epoxy is a strong adhesive that can be used to secure many different materials. As with any type of glue, epoxy will occasionally run onto surfaces of the objects you are gluing together, which makes the object look messy. Though epoxy resists most chemical cleaners, acetone can soften the glue, which can then be removed with putty knife or a similar tool. With care you can remove dried epoxy from any surface.
Difficulty: Easy Instructions
Things You'll Need:
Acetone
Putty knife or other thin, solid object
1
Apply a liberal amount of acetone to the epoxy. Make sure the acetone covers all of the epoxy or you will have difficulty removing it.
2
Let the acetone sit on the epoxy for several minutes to soften the glue. If you try to remove the epoxy too soon you risk damaging the surface the epoxy is on.
3
Scrape off the epoxy with a putty knife or other thin, solid object. Be gentle with the knife and start from the edge, as you don't want to damage the object the epoxy is on.
4
Repeat steps 1 through 3 if any epoxy remains on the surface of the object.
Ik had dit draadje destijds helemaal niet opgemerkt, wat een indrukwekkende machine!
Ben benieuwd naar wat overzichtsfotos. Wat is de algehele bouwstatus?
