You mentioned before the 3 chargers were from different brands and types?
I would seriously think if the lipos it has happened to (the first, second and hopefully now last time) are from the same brand/series/supplier?
When you experience this 3 times you start to think something is causing this!?

All rewired again and working.
Whilst soldering the wire to the iron exploded with a bang, made me jump. All electric went off, stopping the 3d printer half way through 6hr print. Then when I flipped the electric back on an alarm that has been out of use for 12 years sprang to life , I didn't have a code to switch it off, so I snipped it's wires. Good job I had 2nd soldering iron to repair the first one.

 

I have had second thoughts on the covering, I know it's a bit late and it's going to be hard to do now all the tubes are fixed.
I have ordered the bottle green, it is nicely textured and is waterproof, I may live to regret this.

What about water resistance?

 

It's sold as waterproof, so I guess not all vinyl are.

 

Working on a jet outboard, having seen what Jetwolf do with full size conversions, they are amazing.
So I blame Michiel for setting me off on this road, but I will be pleased if it works.

Although too long for true scale looks, it is understandable you cannot make it as short as the original. The gears are much larger in the model.
Still this will work for sure!

It will be interesting how the suction will be in wavy conditions. Marathon racers have a double tunnel hull where the inlet is positioned in the middle section all the way to the transom. The inlet-housing is located behind the transom, in a crade. And that works fine. So I am confident this will work. But probably the trim will make or break it!

You can add a fixed nozzle + stator, since you will be steering the outboard itself?
Or is that linkage for a reverse bucket?

 

It might be the water pickup you can see. If the stator could be redrawn to include the compression nozzle there would be a tiny saving in length and weight. I think you drew this one for me. But I guess having it separate means changing the final hole size is easier.
Now I can draw this it opens a door to drawing my own normal jet unit, doing away with all the frustration I had with the tfl, and to any size.

Will be interesting to see if the scoop will work without an anti-ventilation plate as you have on your regular outboard.
