Thanks for the response so far. I have installed Ubuntu and I'm using it for some time now to my almost complete satisfaction. I didn't partition my HDD (500 Gb, way too big) so maybe I will reinstall it some time.
I have read on the internet that Ubuntu is the best choice for starters hence I installed this version. Maybe I will make bootable USB stick to try Mint but right now I don't feel the need to switch to a different OS.
I still have to learn several thing like resizing a photo and save the new size photo. I must admit I did this on a windows machine last week. The only resize I can do now is resize the photo on screen. I will run into other things I'm sure but the benefits so far are so great I can keep a smile on my face when using Ubuntu.
Using windows literally gives me a headache and a really warm/hot feeling (not in a positive way) from my annoyance and impatience. Simple tasks like opening a browser sometimes take forever in windows and even freeze for no apparent reason. If you tell a program to close with task manager then you are still asked if a solution must be searched for. WTF, what the hell did I tell you 2 seconds ago, shut the F down, not look for a solution. You must be an administrator to perform some actions in explorer and even when logged in as one there are still things you cannot do, it's my F* computer. When logged in as an administrator you are still asked a thousand times each day to continue as an ..., well you know. And so on, and on, and on, and on.
I even get annoyed typing about this shit.
