CG mag nog wel een stuk naar achteren. Van het weekend op de Maasvalkte nog maar eens proberen.

Heb zelf de Argon DLG van onze Oostenrijkse vriend hier, welke ik nog moet bouwen.
Pasten de onderdelen goed?

Is het nog te doen op de MVII ondanks die enorme turbines in de branding?
Verstoren die niet teveel de wind?

 

De Flightboard ging zonder problemen in elkaar. Heb 'm in PLA geprint, omdat je voor een hellingkistje niet op gewicht hoeft te besparen.
De tips en elevons zijn trouwens zeer licht, het transparante middendeel is gewoon zwaar, en het materiaal zeer bros.

Ik ben al een tijdje niet op de MV geweest, we gaan het zien.

Even wennen aan de ontwerpstijl hoor!
De SU-27 heeft op dit moment van schrijven nog niet gevlogen schrijft Richard, de ontwerper.

Hey everyone,

My apologies for abruptly shutting things down. I understand there has been a lot of anticipation for me to release the B-17 files. Obviously I didn’t go about things the right way, but please read on, so you understand what the plan is. First of all, I owe everyone of my followers and supporters a huge thank you for the last couple of years. You kept me going by pushing me and challenging me to release the designs to the public and by pausing things on the website so abruptly I did you a disservice and I apologize for that.

My reasoning for shutting down the business has nothing to do with money or selling anything to a larger company, it is purely due to personal reasons:

1. 3DAeroventures is a side gig. I have a totally separate full-time job, a wife, and two young kids, and I want to be there to support them fully. I don’t mean just financial support, but to be able to commit my time first and foremost to my family, my kids, and their growing interest in various sports and activities. This doesn’t mean I’m giving up on the hobby. I just don’t have the time to continue to make this hobby a side business as well.

2. I’ve heard a lot of people say, if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. So a lot of people, including me, take that to mean- “why don’t I turn a hobby that I love into a job?” But I’ve kind of come to learn that’s a bit overrated. It can burn you out on that thing you once loved and just turn it into any other job and I don’t want that to happen with this because I love model aviation and the people like you that are a part of it. So I am not considering this a side job anymore.

However, when I put the message on my website that I’m revamping it, that is the truth. I am working on removing the e-commerce side of the website so that people don’t have to go through a check out process to download my designs. There will just be a link to each design to download them for free. The designs that are already complete will still have the build guides , but any new designs I do, including the B 17, will not have full build guide information and, unfortunately, I will not be available for any customer service via email or messaging. But I’m happy to share the files with everyone so they can enjoy the designs.

Just give me a couple days to finish reworking the website and I will keep everyone posted on this thread. I don’t think I’ll be able to post any links to the files on RC groups in the meantime, but I will try.
