B17-C : de 'test flight !!!'

Frank en Chris,

Gefeliciteerd heren, vliegt tie gewoon goed of echt boven verwachting goed.

Moet ook een opluchting zijn voor Chris de ontwerper, altijd spannend een maiden van een eigenontwerp.

ok,ok, time to relieve the tension, I think.
The video camera is not mine. I borrowed it from a friend that also does the post production processing for me, i.e. he transfers it from the digital tape to his computer, has it then converted to a usable format for me, which, as I'm told, takes almost three hours for a 15 minute video. I just called him and he's working on it now. Too late to get the CD today, but he'll have it ready for me tomorrow.
Then I need to send it through Windows Movie Maker to cut out the dodgy bits (there are many!), to get a Youtube-able format. I should be able to upload it at Youtube tomorrow evening.
So put the drinks back in the fridge and make sure the Popcorn stays fresh - see you all tomorrow.

Sorry Guys, still no video today,
came home from work this evening to be told that we were invited to one of my wife's friend's birthday (dang! forgot all about that!!!)
Got the video on cd this morning and saw that it desperately needs to be edited as there are a lot of bumpy bits and also some camera malfunctions as the end looks more like as slide show than a video. Hope to get it cleaned up tomorrow, but don't keep your fingers crossed too long. Will let you all know what happens.

Ok, here's the YouTube. It's not the best I've done, but I wanted to get something halfway decent out for you guys that are waiting. I converted the file to an .avi to keep the size down and make it quicker to work on, but unfortunately the picture suffers badly and the sound gets lost during the second half. I might try a nice high quality mpeg over the weekend when I have more time (Windows Movie Maker suxx).

I've removed this link because I replaced the previous flying video with a corrected one. Please check my newer posts

Well it was well worth letting a batch of popcorn go stale for :P

Not much one can say about this movie. Looks good, sounds good and looks like it flies good too. All one can do after watching this movie, is getting a towel to wipe the drool off with :P

Congrats on a maiden and she really does look (and sound) beautifull in the sky!

Super Frank, ziet er echt mooi uit, klinkt ook goed (hoewel het in het echt nog beter zal zijn). :D

Jammer dat geluid op gegeven moment verdwenen is  Vooral die lage flyby lijkt me prachtig klinken 8)

Thanks for posting this video CTDavies  This wil help us overcome our biggest curiosity. We will put the remains of the popcorn away for the HQ mpeg with sound (I would like to hear the sound of her during the low altitude flyby 8)).

Well gentleman, that's looking outrageous

Beautiful flown with gracefull low-passes. Sound is magnificent with her four engine's. Looking forward to see her in real.

Teus

Here's the corrected video, with better picture (well a little bit better) and full sound
