F16 dual schaal 1 op 5

Depends on the MTOW of your modell, I guess? The lighter, the better? ;)

I think that 24 kg of thrust is enough? What's the weight of your modell?

Hi Pablo, just as Jolmer said, weight is thé answer here. Most of these scale-jets Falcon's have an empty weight of around 19kg but 25kg has been seen as well giving it a take-off weight of 30kgs. My scale-jets F16 will be lightweight at 15kg no fuel. Take-off weight will be 19kg and I plan to install my homemade 20kg thrust turbine which will give the model more than 1:1 power for vertical take-off performance.

hi gerald and jolmer. i agree with you both. the thrust power will depend of maximum model weigth at take off. the jet in the video have a good behaviour like the actual f16 and it does several peaks with no problems being scale 1:5. so in conclusion if my model weigth is 20kg it should works with 20kg of thrust to get a good behaviour like the video?

PD: jolmer my f16 is under construction and i estimate 20-25 kgs of weigth at take off and i can´t find a jetcat 240 maybe he use 2 engine jetcat 120

If I would take a guess, I think it's just one engine. When you hear the sound of the engine closely, you cannot here another one. With planes that do operate with two (even identical) engines the sound of both is always distinguishable... ;)

In most cases 1 to 1 power to weight ratio is enough for nice vertical performance! :D

Hi Pablo, the latest JetCAt P200-SX provides a thrust of 23kg and is also fast in throttling up.

Je komt toch weer op een Jetcat uit!!!!! Tweede kerstdag weer even gedraait: 601 bij opstart, 580 gemiddeld en 124.500 omw/min. Die ouwe p80 snort er over!!!!
 
whaaaaaat with flares? i imagine my jet dropping some bombs and launching missiles but flares...jeje would be a good exhibition.

De onderkant is nu voorbereid met het op maat knippen van het glasweefsel. Ik gebruik daar een electrisch schaartje voor wat zeer gemakkelijk is in het knippen van vele weefsels, zelfs Kevlar en Carbon.
Bij het knippen met een schaar heb je vrij snel last van losse weefsel draden en met dit machientje kun uit de losse hand je weefsels op maat knippen. (EC CUTTER CORDLESS ELECTRIC SCISSORS FOR KEVLAR (Aramid)).

Het is gelukt om de plug van zolder te halen, zonder kleerscheuren gelukkig. Dus toekomstige kisten hoeven niet in 2 delen gemaakt te worden.

Ik wil nog een plaatje maken met de kist recht op want het blijft wat moeilijk om in te schatten hoe groot zo'n bak is. Gerald weet het ondertussen al, die heeft nu een ruimte probleem in z'n hokkie :mrgreen:.

Wat een beest, inderdaad wist ik niet in te schatten hoe groot hij werkelijk is.
