Ter info, dit is de post op rcg:
"As is usual on forums, there is much speculation about the nature of the failsafes issue, so here is my experience of it.
On receipt of a new X20S a couple of weeks ago, I put it in a hack epp 3D plane with the intention of flight proving it before running it in my ‘nicer’ models. Against convention, I set the failsafes on 3D foamies to give a full spin (throttle closed, full up ele, full rudder and aileron) - that way I know that if the model goes into sustained failsafe then it will come down on the flying field rather than risking damage to third parties. In a spin the model carries little energy so any damage to the model will likely be repairable.
Despite apparently normal ground range checks, during flights I experienced ‘glitches’ which were momentary failsafes (perhaps less than half second duration) unassociated with any low RSSI or VFR warnings/values. It would occur typically five or six times during a four minute flight but seemed to be more frequent when there were other flyers adjacent. If I’d had conventional failsafe settings, I don’t think that that these glitches/failsafes would be evident.
I contacted Rich at T9 Hobbysport who had supplied the radio and are the UK main agent for FrSky. Rich was very supportive and we tried various test scenarios (different Rx, external TX ant etc) to try to determine the cause and in conjunction with the FrSky devs, and to cut a long story short, it was concluded that:
1)The issue only affects EU-LBT radios with the TD-ISRM rf (ie X20/X20S)
2) It doesn’t manifest with Accst Rx’s, only Access R8 Pro and R10 Pro Rx’s
3) It is nothing to do with ETHOS
4) It’s not a hardware problem
5) FrSky have worked diligently to identify and rectify the issue with the imminent release of TD-ISRM firmware 2.1.8
I have the beta 2.1.8 loaded but have not yet had chance to properly test it due to the British weather, however I am confident that the issue will be resolved.
No doubt that the usual suspects will use this issue to knock FrSky, but those with a wider experience will know that other manufacturers have issues/bugs but aren’t always as keen to address them as FrSky have been in this case. I’m not tied to FrSky, indeed I have many other radios including Futaba (MZ), Jumper (T16 and T18), Spektrum, FlySky and JR. A recent service on the MZ including a new touchscreen cost nearly as much as the whole X20S combo, so it must be remembered that quality has to be tempered with value. All things considered, I really like my new X20S and ETHOS.
Anyhow, that’s my experience for what it’s worth.
Finally a massive thanks to Rich at T9 for the brilliant support."
