Hi Guys,
Hi Sander et al,
No problem with Osprey copyright, it belongs to mother nature, the painting is not too hard, just look at good photos of your intended Raptor and lightly pencil in the different colour outlines, feather details are done with a wide (20-30mm) almost dry brush, don't worry about perfection just be bold, wipe in an airflow direction with a damp foam kitchen sponge to get the effect. Here is a link to my older Osprey model, Flora, named for my wife.

Sorry the videos have been removed.
Here is a link for Sattelite tracking of real Ospreys for interest.
The RSPB: Loch Garten ospreys
I would post pictures of my Alulah but I am crap at uploading on this forum.
I would suggest you choose a Raptor with a different colour scheme top and bottom to avoid disorientation, good luck with the paints, I used the cheapest kids acrylics I could buy, they have good coverage and wash up with water before they set firm.
I think Robert deserves to be world famous for this and his flapping bird projects.
Cheers,
regards to all, Al
