O jee . . . :? Wat gaan we nou weer beleven . . .
Nou . . . daar gaat 'ie.
Hello Jan,
I received an e-mail from a modelbouwforum.nl/ forum member asking for permission to post my entire site on the forum. I told him that he may post one article as an example of the content on my site, but that he may not post the entire site.
I found the thread where it is being discussed and have attempted to have it translate online, but wasn’t able to make sense of all of it.

I don’t want to make a big deal of it, but I have put thousands of hours of work into the site. The entire site is protected by international copyright laws. I do not want my site being posted elsewhere except to link back.
Best regards,
Paul K. Johnson

WELL . . . WHAT HE HAS DONE IS, HE HAS PUT THE CONTENT OF YOUR ENTIRE SITE (!!) IN SOME WORD DOCUMENTS (TOTALS 13 MB).
HE HAS ASKED THE 'BOSS' (ROBERT WAANDERS) OF THE FORUM TO 'HOST' THIS 13 MB FILE ON THE FORUM.
THE BOS SAID: FIRST ASK PERMISSION.
I told him that he may post one article as an example of the content on my site, but that he may not post the entire site.
YES, HE HAS REPORTED THAT IN THE FORUM

WELL, SINCE I AM RATHER FOND OF YOUR SITE AND YOUR APPROACH TO MODEL BUILDING, I HAVE POINTED OUT (SEVERAL TIMES) YOUR SITE TO THE COMMUNITY THAT IS USING THE FORUM.
(LUCKILY, WE ALSO STILL HAVE 'SOME' REAL MODEL BUILDERS LEFT HERE (BESIDES THE PEOPLE THAT DO ARTF, RTF, RTC, FOAM, DEPRON, ETC.ETC.))
AND ONE OF THEM (ARVID) HAD THIS INITIATIVE
I don’t want to make a big deal of it, but I have put thousands of hours of work into the site.
I SURELY CAN BELIEVE THAT!
The entire site is protected by international copyright laws.
OKAY.
I do not want my site being posted elsewhere except to link back.
OKAY. FAIR ENOUGH.
THANKS FOR YOUR MAIL, NO HARD FEELINGS OR ANYTHING OF THE KIND, AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Hi Jan,
Thanks for your understanding. It seems to me it’s easier to view the site rather than wade through a document anyway. I know he thinks he’s doing a good thing and I’m not angry about it or anything like that.
I look at my web stats all the time and see that you and others have often linked to my site. I really appreciate that you do that. It has brought a lot of visitors to my site. Last month was my best month yet with 1.3 million hits! The site received over 600 visitors per day on average.
The bottom line there is that I want people to visit my site which is why I’m doing the work.
Thanks for your help.
Paul
PS. I didn’t understand your comment about the article about building lightweight models. You mentioned hours of work and 3 grams, but I didn’t understand the entire statement.

WELL, ACTUALLY IT IS A COMMENT FROM A GUY WHO CALLS HIMSELF 'MUXJE' (???), AND I WILL TRY TO TRANSLATE
"A FINE SITE INDEED, CAN'T BE MENTIONED OFTEN ENOUGH.
THE PART ABOUT HOW TO ETC. IS COMPULSORY 'FOOD' FOR EVERYONE WHO BUILDS HIS OWN PLANES. NOT INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOURS OF WORK TO SAVE 3 GRAMS, BUT TIPS TO MAKE YOUR PLANE STRONGER, STRAIGHTER EN LIGHTER, WITHOUT A LOT OF EXTRA WORK".
SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
