Hi Davy
Your first (desktop) system is very much above the minimum advertised specifications for Phoenix and will run perfectly.
Without the exact make and model of the graphics card in your laptop computer we cannot say whether Phoenix will run or perform adequately.
Generally if your machine will support a comparable product then Phoenix will perform as well or better, though as Phoenix is based upon the latest graphics technologies, this can sometimes cause problems with very old hardware, where the manufacturer does not provide adequate driver updates.
Best Regards

Subject: RE: Phoenix-sim demo
Hello,
Thanks for the very fast awnser.
4-6 weeks ... i think i am going to buy it instead
The specification of my system will do just fine.
It's an 2Ghz dual core with 2GB memory and the graphics controller is an GeForce 7800GT with 256MB
This would be no problem at all i suppose...
Though i have a laptop too, this one is a little bit older.
I am talking about an 1.6 centrino cpu with 512MB ram and i guess 64MB shared memory.
I know the gpu is not supporting T&L2.0 rendering.
Reflex sim just runs on it but the performance it not good enough to do some quick tricks. I think its running at about only 15-20 FPS.
If Phoenix would run on my laptop this should be just great...
The 2 systems are running on Windows XP SP2.
Actually i am following your product far before release. And... wel... i do think this product has a lot of potential.
Thanks in advance

Hi Davy
Thank you for your enquiry regarding Phoenix.
Currently there is no software demo of the simulator, though there are many images and videos of the simulator in action on our website (
www.phoenix-sim.com). If you let us know what system specification you are using we can tell you how well we think the software will run on your computer.
We are also currently working on a fairly large update for the simulator (v1.04), which will be downloadable free of charge to our customers. After this update is released (hopefully in the next 4-6 weeks), we may be releasing a demo on the website, though any such demo would not enable control of the models.
Best Regards

Subject: Phoenix-sim demo
Hello,
Currently i am using a simulator (Reflex XTR) but i am very curious about your Phoenix-sim.
Is there any news about the demo software?
If phoenix-sim performs as well as Reflex, I would be glad to buy your product!!
Unfortunantly no-one in our club is using Phoenix
When i could try a demo is could buy the sim and tell it to the clubmembers
I'm looking forward trying your sim!!!

Mvg Davy
