Progress is very slow due to the cold weather, only a couple of hours and I'm ready to get back in by the fire.

Saw these on the river , frozen foam pancakes, they rotate making perfect circles:D

That Bison rubber glue is the European equivalent of Robin's Shoe goo!
Maybe look for that in the UK?

I glued the soles of my sneakers with this. Paid around €8,- for a tube. It stays flexible and does last long!

I have seen those discs before. Fascinating sight! Will try to do some ice-skating today on the pond I normally run my boats on! ;)
Tomorrow temperatures are above zero again.

Neptune Ribs in Ireland
The extreme cold weather has finally come to an end. So got the esc soldered up, always a tricky job so glad it's done. I have been ripping out all the florescent lights in the workshop and fitting 7watt leds about 20, so I am saving 200 watts every hour I'm up there, a good saving in these difficult times. Not been boating for ages as the lake was frozen, I think it will have thawed now. The whole country is now experiencing floods as the snow melts, but we never saw any, however it is forcast for early Christmas day, that would be nice.

Finally got round to fixing the light frame in place, the balsa is just to hold it till glue dries. With that in place I can move on, like the cleats in the photo. Should get exciting to see all the parts coming together like the console, seat, and engine.

Thanks Michiel, kynar wrapping wire 0.5mm wrapped tight round some steel rod, remove it, job done.
The wire comes in many colours for electronic repairs.

I have got the floor made at last, I had to have two catches this time to avoid the battery which is in the middle and very close to the floor. Might be a good thing, don't want to lose that console.
The floor needs to be covered with foam matting, then I can get the console screwed on.
