Hi Dim, I use a metal saw ( figure saw, is that the English word?). It is a hand saw, u shaped with a very thin saw, almost like a wire.
The covers are epoxied lightly. Without protective coat, the covers will deform after becoming wet.
There was a discussion lately in one of the speedboat topics, whether waxing or sanding with fine grid paper would be better to reduce the hull resistance. Sanding with 600 grid sand paper appeared the better solution, according to Jan (not me, other Jan) our forum member with a lot of racing experience. I also sand the running surfaces, although I did not do that for the T800 yet, because I will apply clear coat first.
# build update: yesterday evening I laminated te cowl on the mold. It took me 2.5 hours. I will post some pictures after release from the mold [emoji3]
