P1 Puma RIB racing-scratch building

It came out great Dim! Now put it in the water and show us how she runs [emoji3] I guess you did not test the outboard yet, either? So new hull with new outboard. Our patience is being tested [emoji6]

Hahaha thank you Jan :)... You are right, it s been a long time, the weather is getting real hot here so she must go swimming asap :D!!!!
I have tested nothing yet:confused:... Now, the big deal is the outboard, I don t want surprises... I hope everything will work fine.

Just some photos with the outboard... Motor cables will be shortened...

She is alive... :D!
First test of the outboard with a 4s lipo. Everything seems to work smoothly. Only 25% of the throttle to protect the flex shaft and the motor/esc. The flex shaft is greased with ball bearing grease which worked well with the mini tfl. My son operates the transmitter... ;)

Beauty, conratulations!

Before shortening the cables on the motor make sure they are not thick, hard copper, because that would be part of the windings.
They look quite flexible but just to make sure.

I am very very curious too...the GPS will speak the truth soon.
Except for the speed I am also curious for the overall sailing behavior. Cornering also is very important, I expect some big angles due to the deep v.

Yes Jan this the flysky noble nb4...very satisfied it s an amazing transmitter. I bought it 160 € with 2 recievers and a two batteries (a powerbank and a built-in battery). Now, it costs 209 € (the cheapest price) but B@@good has an offer (176 €) which starts tomorrow ;)

I fancy that transmitter, it looks so good. I actually use one of the cheapest transmitters available. It has good range and lasts forever on 4 batteries. So I actually have no reason to change, unfortunately [emoji28]

Looking at the menu of the NB4 you can see choices for sensors (speed, distance etc) and there are also a couple of videos on youtube showing how to use nb4 with telemetry.
Searching for sensors etc I remember that they were quite expensive so I quited the idea.

When I started my water-jet project in 2017 I needed telemetry.
No pistol style Tx was available with all the sensors available I needed, except from Traxxas.
However then you needed their Esc. and very expensive!
Still I have not found one.

For cars current use is not really important.
But for boats it is!

Since then I use a stick Tx which I also use for flying.
Nevertheless it still feels alien when I use it for the boat!
